Little can beat the reward of knowing that you've made a difference in someones life: that you've helped them gain a new understanding or insight, or even a new skill. Teachers are more than simply educators. They're also mentors and leaders. If you're attracted to the idea of opening new windows for people, teaching may be the job for you.

According to the ETDP Seta's Sector Skills Plan for the period 2005-2010, there is an impending shortage of teachers in South Africa. These include finance managers, maths school teachers, early childhood (pre-primary) school teachers, natural science school teachers, and technology (ICT) teachers. There is also a great demand for office administrators, general secretaries, chief executives, managing directors and school principals.
