I have another question, if i want to apply for a trade test in mechanical engineering ,what are the requirements to qualify? i have n3 and i did this subjects, mathematicsn3 , engineering science n3, mechanotechnology n3 and electrotechnology n3! so wil i qualify for a trade test with this subjects? |

Dear Mark: Thank you for you email. Along with information regarding the Trade Test, we have also provided more information regarding the GCC.
As regards the General Certificate of Competence, we have been informed that FET Colleges registers students for the GCC examination with the Department of Labour; you therefore need to contact your FET College directly about age, experience and academic admission requirements. They will be able to advise you about what extra subjects you will need to take in order to qualify for the GCC. The following GCC's are offered:
We suggest you contact the higher institution where you would like to complete your BTech about their admission requirements; you may have to complete a National Diploma first.
