Some suggestions:
- Contact a business near where you stay and submit a proper letter of request. Check that your spelling and grammar is perfect before you send it (sometimes it is useful to get a friend to check it for you before sending it). First impressions are very important! You should also include your CV or a short description of yourself, your abilities and what you would like to achieve in your career.
- Offer to volunteer in an organization for the holidays– even if it is just making photocopies and tea! The exposure to a working environment will be very beneficial and you will have an opportunity to meet the people who could help you in the future. If you impress them they may offer you something else in the future.
