Dear Gerry
We suggest you contact UNISA directly to see what they suggest regarding your diploma (http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=21999). You may be eligible for credits towards a BCom degree or a National Diploma. If you do get credits towards a BCom degree you could consider studying Industrial Psychology as one of your major subjects.
Also consider doing a UNISA BA with psychology or industrial psychology as a major. You could even just study psychology for non-degree purposes – just for fun.
Explore the possibility of doing a FAMSA Basic Counselling Course (http://www.famsa.org.za/) or a Life Line course (http://www.lifeline.org.za/) with a view to becoming a volunteer counsellor.
These are only a few suggestions to whet your appetite. Please let us know if you need any information regarding the different career areas within psychology.
