Thank you for your enquiry. In 2008 the matric qualification became know as a National Senior Certificate (NSC). From the information you gave in your email you may need to look at the old system of matric called a Senior Certificate. To make sure, we suggest you contact your provincial department of education for information about which certificate you need to sign up for and how to go about doing this. There are a number of different options available to adult learners who want to study for a National Senior Certificate or Senior Certificate: 

• Contact Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges in your area to see if they offer the old senior certificate subjects and the new National Senior Certificate (NSC) subjects. We also suggest you explore National Certificate Vocational (NCV) courses as an alternative. • You could also try a private correspondence college like Damelin (http://www.dcc.edu.za/800/highschool/highschool.htm ) or  Intec College http://www.intec.edu.za/high-school/.
