Please note that in 1980 the matric qualification was called a senior certificate. In 2008 the matric qualification became a national senior certificate, so it is important when you call the department of education that you refer to a senior certificate and the date you wrote your exam.

Contact Further Education and Training (FET) Colleges in your area to see if they offer the old senior certificate subjects and to explore the suitability of their National Certificate Vocational (NCV) courses as an alternative.
