Thank you for your question regarding how to improve your mathematics. We suggest you contact your university student counselling services and ask them what they suggest. Specifically ask them the following:
- Does the university offer an access program to help people in your situation acquire the necessary skills and how do you got onto this program?
- Will they recognise a UNISA mathematics course such as Mathematics access module (MAT011-K)? Refer to the UNISA webpage for information: http://www.unisa.ac.za/default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=16615
- Will they recognise a rewrite of NSC mathematics if you do it as a private candidate through an organization such as Damelin or Intec?
- Will they recognize mathematics completed at a College for Further Education and Training (FET College), either NCV level or N4, N5 or N6 level?
