Skills shortages in South Africa
JSE-listed staffing services provider kelly group had been struggling to attract skilled people in the business intelligence and high end information technology fields forcing the company to search internationally, Mthunzi Mdwaba, the deputy chief executive, said. "We have had a team of people who go overseas to identify the people we need. We then assist them with neccessary documentation they need to be in the country and also help them to adjust to South Africa." Vicky Marais-Swanepoel, the managing director of the company\'s personnel Assignment Group division said over the past three years they have imported more than 150 skilled people.
