This group of unemployed Hout Bay ladies recently learned the art of making and bottling jam and marmalade. This was part 3 of the Career Planet skills development programme that has also taught them basic computer, business & commercial craft production skills. The programme is sponsored by Oceana. The kitchen was generously provided by Silwood kitchens and the ingredients sponsored by the Pick n Pay Foundation. The training was co-ordinated by celebrity chef, Justine Drake, and presented by food editor, Anke Roux and assistant chef, Pia.
