Wedding Consultant
Wedding consultants provide a service to couples planning a wedding. They help to turn the couple’s dream wedding into a reality. They usually have many wedding magazines that brides can study for ideas. Not all wedding consultants provide the same services.
What they do:
- Most sell wedding gowns, bridal trousseau and clothing suitable for the bridal party.
- Some may combine their service with advice on hairstyles and make-up. They take into consideration aspects like colour scheme, personal taste and the type of wedding.
- Arrange setting up and maintaining the wedding gift register.
- Give advice on etiquette during rehearsals.
- Help choose flowers, glassware, silverware, etc. They may also help the couple decide on a catering service, band or music, and photographer.
- May also be involved in catering for the wedding, designing the colour scheme, decorating the tables, doing the layout of the hall (or garden, if it is to be a garden wedding), flowers, etc
