Viticulturists are also known as grape growers who grow grapes for the purpose of making wine.
The process starts by preparing the soil for planting the seedlings, whose growth is monitored on a regular basis. Supports, called trellises, are constructed for the young vines to grow along and to keep them up. The canopies – the way in which the leaves form a tent - like cover over the vine – are managed by the viticulturists.
