Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Nuclear medicine technologists prepare, administer and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies.
Duties:
· perform nuclear medicine studies and conduct laboratory tests
· administer radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of qualified medical personnel and according to the direction of a physician
· implement and supervise radiation safety policies and procedures and ensures the legal requirements of disposing of radioactive materials are followed
· may write computer protocols for new and revised procedures
· train departmental worker to operate equipment
