Management Accountant
Management accountants are concerned mainly with finances and how to turn ideas into money. All organisations make use of management accountants for activities such as retrenchment packages or other labour compensation, control, expense calculation, and other areas where expenditure must be analysed and controlled.
What they do:
· They give their organisations figures on trends and levels of performance, as well as advice on the workability and profitability of projects in a developmental or negotiation stage.
· They handle all the financial aspects of the business and may work in one or all of several possible areas: budget, property management and evaluation, systems accounting or tax preparation.
· They are responsible for maintaining records, balancing financial books and presenting financial information to management.
· They assess the impact of change throughout the organisation.
