Job Development Specialist
A Job Development Specialst promotes and develops employment and on-the-job training opportunities.
This is an important part of the Human Resources Department and has to do with more than just basic job skills. With the history of poor educational standards in somesections of the community there is often a desperate need for basic literacy training and skills upgrading for adults.
Industry and the private sector recognise they have responsibilities to the workers in their employ and more and more companies offer these possibilities as well as basic work skills to their workers.
Equally important is providing proper training for the job required. Employees need to be confident and sure of themselves in their work environemnt and this should be reflected both in safety records and productivity in factories and mines.
