Genealogist
Genealogists conduct research into the genealogical background of individuals or families in order to establish their descent from specific ancestors or to discover and identify the forefathers of an individual or family. They also trace lines of descent and succession.
Genealogists do this by consulting national and foreign genealogical tables, publications and documents such as church and court records, which provides evidence of births, baptisms, marriages, deaths and legacies. Once all the necessary information is obtained they construct a chart showing the lines of descent and family relationships. This information is then given to the family or individual.
