Event Coordinators work together with Event Managers to plan and co-ordinate functions, banquets, conferences and other major events.
Event Co-ordinators are responsible for liaising with clients, determing the client's need, doing quotations and discussing menus with the caterer or head chef, hiring casual staff to work on theday of the event, arranaging and hiringequipment and finding a suitable venue for the event.
It is possible that more than one event will coincide or one event in the morning and one in the evening. It is important that each event is treated as the most important event of the day.
Having strong communication and liaising skills is most important as an Event Co-ordinator will work with people both staff and clients all day.
