Database Administrators
A database administrator is responsible for administrating a database. A database can consist of various applications that are linked together. For example, one company may have a program where all their client details are captured, another where each client’s account information and billing structure is captured, and a third for the service or product the client sells. All these programs are then combined into one database.
Responsibilities:
· Make sure that the programs are accurately linked, test the data integrity and distribute the latest version of each application accordingly.
· They prevent date duplication, book the source code of each application, replicate data when a company operates in a Wide Area Network,
· Write reports on all the information for clients and users.
