Croupiers throw dice, deal cards or spin the roulette wheel in a casino. They are responsible to the casino manager.

Formal educational qualifications are not required but you may be tested for mental arithmetic.
The large casino chains train unqualified staff towards The Gambling Commission certificates, which are a legal requirement for all casino staff involved in gaming. Most new dealers are aged between 18 and 25.
Casino work will involve working unsocial hours, with some casinos staying open until six in the morning. Shift work is available.
Some croupiers work their way up to the position of Gaming Inspector or Casino Manager. It may be possible to work abroad or on cruise ships. A criminal record precludes entry to this profession.
