Do you enjoy working with people? Do you enjoy helping people? Are you interested in a Career in Tourism? Then you may enjoy working as a Concierge.
As a Concierge your responsibilities could include:
- Showing customers where to go when they are new to a place
- Giving customers any essential travel advice
- Answering customer inquiries
- Making travel arrangements, deliver luggage
- Running errands for guests
- Arranging for interpreters or translator
As a Concierge you must be willing to take initiative and have excellent customer service, active listening, and time management skills. You must be willing to expect the unexpected as everyday will come with new challenges. As well Concierges are very perceptive to customers’ needs and are excellent at communicating with them. For this job you must have your high school diploma and some customer service related experience. Most of your training will be on the job so it is not necessary to have vocational training although some experience in tourism would be beneficial.
