Computer hardware manufacturing technicians work with or under hardware engineers producing, building and testing the prototype of the engineer's creative designs.
It is there duty to keep extensive logs and reports documenting the research and development process as well as assisting in the configuration and maintenance of the automated equipment.
They will be involved in trouble-shooting, and problem-solving and will delegate routine tasks to technical assistants or assemblers.
Another function of a technician is to write diagnostic programs that will test a coputer system or component over and over again, as well as automatically recording the performance of the computer system or component.
