Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Manager
Computer-aided design (CAD) managers are in charge of the CAD department of an architectural or engineering firm.
Resposiblities:
· Training staff, co-ordinating and scheduling work and ensuring a smooth production flow to meet deadlines and client requirements.
· Ensure all computer workstations in their department are configured and will specify what hardware and software are required.
They work mainly with architects and engineers and ensure that the drawings produced are as detailed and informative as possible. CAD managers will also deal with staff complaints and issues, as well as motivating staff to perform effectively and productively.
