The Minister of a Church has many duties a few of which are listed below:
They also conduct weddings, funerals, confirmation and other religious ceremonies. Many of these ceremonies follow classes at which the Clergyman has given lessons or counselling.
They also provide instruction to individuals interested in joining the church and counsel those seeking guidance.
Clergymen are often called upon to visit the sick, elderly, disabled and bereaved giving them support and encouragement.
Many clergymen engage in community, civic, educational and recreational activities sponsored by or related to the church.
They are ex officio members of clerical bodies such as the circuit and synod, where the joint activities of the church are managed.
