Cleaners ensure that working conditions are comfortable, pleasant and clean.
Cleaning Company's negotiate cleaning contracts with Office blocks, hospitals, shopping centres, schools, hotels and many other companies. They employ staff to do the cleaning for them. They are required to clean floors, empty dustbins and in hotels and hospitals to change linen if necessary.
Cleaners usually work under supervision and in some cases start working early in order to have their work finished before the office staff start working.
Cleaners normally undertake on-sight training and can work themselves up the ladder to become a team supervisor.
Cleaners must be at least 16 years before they begin working.
Most Cleaning companies offer on-the-job training and it is up to the individual to contact these companies for information regarding careers
