Chartered Accountant
A Chartered Accountant (CA) is a business and financial adviser. They are very well trained and well paid and can work in almost any kind of business and almost anywere in the world. CAs work in medium and large businesses and organisations, in government and the private sector.
A CA will use his/her high level of training and work experience to study and evaluate financial information and their advice and understanding helps businesses to make the right decisions in areas such as:
- managing the business's finances
- growing the business
- when and where to invest money
- how to plan and make changes
- information technology
The skills that a CA learns means that they are very important members of a businesses management team and often will end up running businesses. There are many areas where a CA can also specialise within an organisation or in their own business - these include the following:
- an Auditor - check that a business's finances are properly and legally managed
- an Investment Adviser
- a Tax Consultant
- a Banking Specialist
- a Risk Management adviser
