Cabin attendants/Air Hostesses duties require them to attend the captain’s pre-flight briefing and to make sure the passenger cabin and galley is in order and well-stocked.
They welcome passengers on board, direct them to their seats, assist the passengers with special needs, answer questions and when necessary reassure nervous passenger.
Before the aeroplane takes off, cabin attendants demonstrate the use of safety equipment and make announcements regarding in-flight instructions and general information.
During the flight they serve refreshments and meals, hand out reading material and pillows and blankets; if required they administer first aid, when necessary.
They wear uniforms supplied by the airline concerned.
