Building Contractors are independent construction specialists who tender on specific assignments within a major construction project.
The construction of one large building might have many contractors and subcontractors working together towards its completion.
Contractors must analyse the specification of the work and determine which materials, personnel and resources are required to complete the assigned task, as well as the related costs. When all of these factors have been considered, a bidyor tender is submitted. If the firm accepts the contract, the contractor must supervise the purchase of materials, as well as the work of the various skilled artisans and labourers assigned to the project.
