Attorneys, also known as lawyers, give legal advice to clients when it comes to legal rights and obligations. They interpret the law with regards rulings and regulations for both individuals and businesses.
Attorneys analyse the probable outcomes or cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
They present and summarise cases for judges and juries and evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments for cases that are to be presented in court.
They gather information and evidence in order to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
They represent their clients in court and examin legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits.
They select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges and question witnesses during the course of a trial and present evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
