Airport Planner
Airport planners are responsible for the development and improvement of airport properties and facilities. They plan projects and identify, analyse, evaluate and recommend ideas and solutions. Their responsibilities include organising, co-ordinating and supervising their team to perform specific duties according to their proposed plans. Airport planners select and negotiate with project managers, contractors and suppliers to execute the work required. They monitor the progress of the project to ensure that contractors work according to schedules. They also manage financial aspects of their projects such as budgets, and prepare the final cost estimates for the project before construction commences. They may also consult with and advise other airports on their planning.
