Aerodynamics is the study of air movement when it interacts with a moving object.
The motion of air is known as a flow field Thermodynamics is the study of the effects of change in temperature, pressure and volume on physical systems.
They perform a variety of engineering work. Designing, construction, testing aircrafts, missiles, and space crafts is also part of the aerodynamacist's key areas of focus. They establish computer methods using computer information for analyzing problems, the outcomes eventually area a stepping stone for solutions in the aircraft and aviation industry.
They also co-ordinate and initiate flight and wind tunnel test programs and compile reports and conclusions for other engineering and design personnel.
